I'm an associate professor of History and African American Studies at Princeton with research interests in 20th c African American history, diaspora, and urban history. For 2014-15, I am the convener of a seminar series on "Black Studies in the Digital Age." I think of myself as an "aspirational" digital humanist. I am particularly interested in the role of technology in archival practice and access; community histories; and in social movements. Eager to acquire some new skills and to think about the digital possibilities for a new biographical project I'm working on.
